Welcome!
This
site is designed to provide information on
the Source Water Protection Program and to
provide quick links to additional sources of information that
are
available.
In working with the communities
in our state,
we hope to increase public awareness of where drinking water
comes from, how it can become contaminated, and how planning
ahead can help prevent major problems with both supply and
quality.
Our goal is to provide educational
materials in the form of news releases,
fact sheets, brochures, bill stuffers, children's materials, and
others to
help communities develop a viable approach to managing one of
our most critical resources: water.
Educational materials available
on this Web site consist of:
-
News Releases: a written communication
directed at members of the news media for the purpose of
announcing something newsworthy and/or to inform the general
public.
-
Fact Sheets: one or two page summaries on
selected topics designed to educate the general public.
-
Brochures: several pages describing or
advertising a selected topic which can be folded and mailed
to the general public.
-
Bill Stuffers: an insert included in a billing
for the purpose of educating the general public on selected
pieces of information.
This Web site was developed in
partnership with the Minnesota Department of Health.
