AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES
FOR VARIOUS SERVICES, LICENSES AND PERMITS
FOR THE CITY OF __________________, MINNESOTA
Whereas, the City Council of the City of _____________ has
adopted the Minnesota Basic Code as it has been amended and supplemented to be
its city code and that code permits the city to adopt by ordinance a schedule of
fees and charges for various services, licenses and permits.
Now Therefore, the City Council of the City _____________,
Minnesota, ordains:
Section 1. All fees and charges in effect as of the date of the
adoption of the city code for the city shall remain in effect unless otherwise
modified by the provisions of this ordinance. All citations below are to
various sections of the city code unless otherwise indicated.
Section 2. The following are the fees and charges
for the permits, licenses and services listed below which are referenced to the
section of the city code which authorizes their establishment:

The sewer service rates and charges to users of the
wastewater treatment facility pursuant to §§
51.113 and 51.114 shall be established by ordinance or resolution prior to
the adoption of this code. The sewer service rates and charges to
users shall be rendered quarterly as follows: residential user with a
household consisting of one senior citizen - $26.54; all other residential
users - $30.04; business users shall be charged for sewer service based on
water use. If a user disconnects during a billing period, the amount
due will be pro-rated by the months of service received with any fraction of
a month being billed as an entire month. Sewer rates and charges may
be changed by amendment to this ordinance from time to time pursuant to §§
51.113(D) and 51.114. |

The turn-on charge for sewer service pursuant to §51.116(D) shall be $25.00. |
| 3. |
The fee for each 1,000 gallons of water used from a fire
hydrant pursuant to § 52.08(A)(4) shall be
$7.50. |
| 4. |
The fee to be collected before service is recommended
pursuant to § 52.33(B)(4) shall be $25.00. |

The turn-on charge for water service pursuant to § 52.72 (B)(4) shall be $25.00 |

The rate due and payable for
each user for water taken from the water system pursuant to statute 52.53
(A) shall be rendered quarterly as follows: business users - $2.50 for
each 1,000 gallons of water used with a minimum charge of $40.00;
residential user with a household consisting of one senior citizen - $26.65;
all other users - $30.65. |

The minimum rate pursuant to
statute 52.53 (D) shall be $40.00 for a business. If a business user
disconnects during a billing period and the cost for the number of gallons
used during that billing period exceeds the $40.00 minimum charge, the user
shall pay for the number of gallons used as determined on said user's meter.
If a residential user disconnects during a billing period, the amount due
will be pro-rated by the months of service received with any fraction of a
month being billed as an entire month. |

The fee for dog and cat
licenses pursuant to statute 91.02 (B)(1) and (2) shall be $5.00. |
| 9. |
The fee for a liquor license
pursuant to statute 112.23(C) shall be $90.00 total annually for an on-sale
Wine and on-sale 3.2 percent malt liquor license and $10.00 annually for an
off-sale 3.2 percent malt liquor license. |
