An Ordinance Relating to Water Meter Installation
An ordinance forming Section ______ of ________ City Code.
The City Council of the City of __________, Minnesota does
ordain as follows:
SECTION _________ WATER METER REPAIR AND
INSTALLATION.
Subd. 1. When an _______ city
water meter is broken because of freezing due to inadequate draining of the
water lines, the following will result.
A.

A city service fee that will be determined from time to time
by resolution of the Council shall be paid in advance of any work being
done by the ________ City Employees. |

The cost of the new meter shall be billed and collected from
the water customer. |
C.

The new meter shall be installed only during normal working
hours. Any installation request after 1:00 pm shall be done on the
next regular working day. |
D.

All water meters are property of the City of __________,
Minnesota. Any missing meters shall be replaced with the cost of the
meter and installation being the responsibility of the property owner. |
Adopted by the City Council this ________ day of ________,
_______ year. This ordinance shall take effect upon publication.
